On November 11 at 6pm come to Trinity Church to experience the world premiere of Benedict Sheehan’s oratorio, Akathist, an epic meditation on choosing gratitude.

Artefact Ensemble will join forces with The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, NOVUS NY, Downtown Voices, Trinity Youth Chorus, and conductor Elaine Kelly to bring this glorious new choral-orchestral work to life.

Three years in the making, Akathist weaves together a diverse array of musical languages—from medieval chant and minimalism to gospel and jazz—and is based on a unique text from the Eastern Orthodox tradition known as “Glory to God for All Things.”
